| Natural Sweeteners - SWEET ZERO |
|
*Php 312.50 per box of 50 sachets.
“Natural sweet-tasting herb with fiber”
Today’s multitude of health problems are rooted on two main nutritional imbalances ? too much sugar and too little fiber in the diet. Excessive sugar consumption increases risk of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and free radical formation. Whereas, too little fiber is typically associated with problems with Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, coronary heart disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, and age-related diseases such as cancer and dementia. Studies show that we now consume more sugar and less fiber compared to a generation ago.
Sweet Zero gives you the sweetness of cane sugar but with 85% less calories. Its primary sweetening agent, stevia or honey leaf, is a natural sweet-tasting herb (Stevia rebaudiana) native to Paraguay and Brazil. Natural glycosides in the leaves of stevia provide it an intense sweet taste that is up to 30 times sweeter than cane sugar in its unprocessed form. Stevia has been used by native tribes since pre-Columbian times not only as a sweetener but also as a traditional medicine. Modern scientific research shows that stevia can lower elevated blood pressure, inhibit growth of some bacteria and fungi, improve pancreatic function, and improve digestion.
Sweet Zero does not leave bitter or residual aftertaste commonly associated with other sugar substitutes. Sweet Zero provides a valuable source of water soluble fibers from inulin, a mildly sweet polysaccharide derived from the root of the chicory plant (Cichorium intybus var. sativum). Inulin soluble fiber has been shown scientifically to reduce glycemic index of low fiber foods, improve fat metabolism, enhance calcium absorption for strong bones and teeth, and support a healthy immune system. Inulin notably promotes healthy bowel transit times and benefit the gut microflora through its prebiotic function.
